About the Role

The Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of RNA Splicing Regulation. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the characterization of molecular mechanisms of Alternative Splicing (AS) regulation by small molecule modulators of RNA splicing.

About the Project

The project, titled CANCERNA, is an EC-funded H2020 Health Program initiative aimed at understanding the mechanisms controlling splicing and their modulation by small molecules. Our team combines high-throughput methods with detailed biochemical and cellular assays to study molecular mechanisms and networks of alternative splicing regulation in cancer.

About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team led by Dr. Juan Valcárcel at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona. Our team has a long history of studying pre-mRNA splicing regulation and has developed mechanism-based novel therapeutic approaches for oncology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the characterization of molecular mechanisms of AS regulation by small molecule modulators of RNA splicing
  • Generate neoantigens and characterize them for their potential use in immunotherapy
  • Collaborate closely with other groups working on computational and structural biology
Requirements
  • PhD in Molecular Biology
  • Proven experience in Molecular Biology and Gene Regulation
  • Desirable skills: Computational Biology, RNA analysis, and experience with RNA and disease
