About the Role
The Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of RNA splicing. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will contribute to the characterization of molecular mechanisms of alternative splicing regulation by small molecule modulators of RNA splicing, the generation of neoantigens, and their characterization for their potential use in immunotherapy.
About the Project
The project, supported by the EC-funded H2020 Health Program, aims to understand the mechanisms controlling splicing and their modulation by small molecules. You will work closely with our team to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals.
About the Team
You will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of scientists at the CRG, led by Dr. Juan Valcárcel. Our team has a long history of studying pre-mRNA splicing regulation and has developed novel therapeutic approaches for oncology. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other groups working on computational and structural biology to study molecular mechanisms and networks of alternative splicing regulation in cancer.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field (molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, etc.)
- Strong background in RNA splicing and molecular biology
- Experience with high-throughput methods and biochemical assays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
