About the Role

The Hotel Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for performing all daily, weekly, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical reviews of Financial Statements and explain any variances from Budget and Forecast.
  • Coordinate and perform month-end closing.
  • Prepare and maintain the accounting records of all MOHG entities associated with Hotel Ritz Madrid.
  • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data for all financial reporting entities.
  • Develop financial statements as and when required.
  • Assist the Assistant Financial Controller in the budgeting & forecasting processes.
  • Monitor Expense Management approach for any operational activities in all departments to ensure optimal efficiency and best performance.
  • Monitor departmental internal controls and create and implement Operating procedures as necessary.
  • Coordinate the submission of periodic MOHG reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Coordinate all CSAQ and ISAQ submissions and carry out respective follow-up.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting & Finance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) emphasizing an overall extensive understanding of the applicable business and accounting issues, and technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping competencies.
  • Strong Level of Proficiency in Excel; ability to assemble, analyze, understand integrated spreadsheets and complex technical information.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in Financial Accountant, Audit Services or similar role.
  • Prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines and problem-solving.
  • Negotiation and Communication skills.
