About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Returns Manager to join our team at Amazon Extra Large (AMXL). As a Returns Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that every customer receives the speed, quality, and reliability they expect from Amazon.

You will be responsible for analysing data and gathering feedback from stakeholders to identify inefficiencies in current operations. You will establish frameworks to ensure that the balance between quality, speed, cost, and other factors are optimised. You will share ideas with colleagues and leadership on how processes can be improved and regularly review process efficiencies, offering data-led solutions for changes that will see long-term improvements.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse data and gather feedback from stakeholders to identify inefficiencies in current operations
  • Establish frameworks to ensure that the balance between quality, speed, cost, and other factors are optimised
  • Share ideas with colleagues and leadership on how processes can be improved
  • Regularly review process efficiencies, offering data-led solutions for changes that will see long-term improvements
Requirements
  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or a technical field
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role
  • Relevant experience in project management or management consulting including handling multiple ongoing projects
  • Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience with SQL and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or QuickSight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience in analytical tool building
