Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Software Development to lead our software development teams and drive the development of our platform. The successful candidate will have a strong technological background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Inspire Software Development Teams
Lead and inspire the software development teams (frontend, orchestrating system, and backend) to achieve excellence in product development.
Strategize Development RoadmapStrategize the overall development roadmap in alignment with the company's objectives and market needs.
Foster Innovation and CollaborationFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
Deliver High-Quality SolutionsEnsure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions that meet the specific needs of bioinformatics developers.
Communicate with C-Level ExecutivesAct as a bridge between the development teams and C-level executives, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform integrates seamlessly with other components and services.
Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging TrendsStay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development and computational biology, leveraging this knowledge to keep the company's platform at the cutting edge.
Champion Team DevelopmentChampion the technical and professional development of your team, providing guidance and mentorship to nurture their growth.
Requirements
- Proven Leadership Experience
Proven experience in leading and growing software development teams, with a strong technological background.
Deep Tech Software DevelopmentDemonstrable experience in developing and managing large-scale deep tech software platforms, preferably in the domain of SaaS and platforms for developers.
Excellent Leadership and Communication SkillsExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Strong Strategic ThinkingStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving projects to successful completion.
Software Development LifecycleA deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies and project management.
EducationA Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Passion for InnovationPassion for innovation and a commitment to creating impactful solutions in the field of computational biology.
