About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Translation Specialist to join our team at Clarivate Analytics in Barcelona. As a key member of our translation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of patent content.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze machine-translated weekly publications of patents to assess the quality of the output.
- Review editorial suggestions applied to local translation dictionaries, approve valid suggestions, and oversee updates to master dictionaries or translation memories.
- Manage customer cases and operational requests for translation enhancement, allocate retranslation/enhancement requests, and manage any associated updates to the master dictionaries and translation memory.
- Provide data analysis and reporting from periodic quality benchmarking reviews.
- Provide analysis and feedback of quality assurance data to external vendors to drive continuous content improvement.
- Provide analysis and suggestions for process and content improvements as part of daily role or through participation in project teams.
About the Team
You will be reporting to the Operations Manager, IP Translation, based in Barcelona. You will be part of a global team of over 20 colleagues. Our team culture is dynamic, creative, and supportive – excellence, integrity, and care are in our DNA. You will have 40 annual paid hours of volunteering time and the chance to be part of an active volunteering community that promotes diversity and inclusion across the business.
Working Arrangements
This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid, with the opportunity to work from our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
