Global Payroll Transformation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Payroll Transformation Manager to join our team at Volotea. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of our end-to-end payroll service delivery process, driving efficiency, standardization, and automation across different countries and employee groups.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Payroll Transformation: Develop and implement a comprehensive payroll transformation strategy, ensuring seamless integration with existing HR systems and processes.
- Assess and Improve Payroll Processes: Conduct thorough assessments of current payroll procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices and streamlined workflows.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, Operations, and other stakeholders to gather payroll requirements and coordinate processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop Payroll Policies and Guidelines: Create and maintain payroll policies and guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop Process Maps and Trainings: Develop detailed process maps and deliver trainings to different stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of payroll procedures and best practices.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Timely Payroll Processing: Oversee data accuracy and ensure timely payroll processing and reporting, meeting regulatory requirements and company deadlines.
- Monitor Payroll Performance and Metrics: Analyze payroll performance and metrics, identifying trends and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Generate Payroll Reports and Presentations: Develop and present payroll reports and insights to senior management and work peers, supporting informed decision-making.
- Manage Relationships with Payroll Providers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with payroll providers, ensuring high-quality service levels and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay Updated with Payroll Trends and Regulations: Stay current with payroll trends and regulatory changes, ensuring Volotea remains compliant and competitive.
- Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors: Work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with payroll controls and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a Team of Payroll Professionals: Manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional growth.
- Address Escalated Inquiries: Respond promptly and effectively to escalated inquiries from internal customers, third parties, and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Labour Relations, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Manager in a multi-country operations company working with local payroll providers.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading payroll transformation initiatives and managing teams.
- Project Management Skills: Strong waterfall project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex cross-functional projects.
- HR Systems and Payroll Systems: Familiarity with HR systems and their integration and connectivity with payroll systems.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex payroll data and make informed decisions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish, with French or Italian being a plus.
