Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ocean Pricing Specialist to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As an Ocean Pricing Specialist, you will play a critical role in coordinating our Ocean Pricing process, ensuring effective communication and strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Support & Request for Quotations (RFQs):
    • Analyze and review RFQ submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Distribute RFQs to relevant stakeholders and gather data from internal teams.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate communications and ensure timely completion of RFQ submissions.
    • Focus on meeting deadlines and follow up with stakeholders to ensure successful tender management.
    • Implement RFQ pricing strategy and complete RFQ submissions for review and submission.
  • Customer Quotation System (Freightos or other):
    • Coordinate and ensure accuracy of Ocean data on the platform for the region.
    • Act as a point of contact for questions and provide support to subject matter experts.
    • Update rates and report any issues or lack of information on the system.
    • Run periodic reviews to ensure data accuracy and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Logistics studies degree or equivalent.
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • Freight forwarding experience - 3 years.
    • Ocean product skills/knowledge/experience - excellent.
    • Pricing experience/knowledge - excellent.
    • Networking skills - good.
    • Interpersonal skills - excellent.
    • Understanding of tender processes - excellent.
    • Understanding of ocean principles - very good.
    • Planning and organizing skills - excellent.
    • PC skills - excellent.
    • Written and verbal communication skills - excellent.
    • Time management - excellent.
    • Data accuracy - excellent.
