Job Overview: WorldStrides is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Telemarketing Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with current mentors while expanding our network by reaching out to new prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct outreach to existing mentors to maintain and strengthen relationships, ensuring they feel valued and heard.
  2. Perform research to identify potential new mentors, particularly in the education sector, and add them to our database.
  3. Initiate contact with new prospects, introducing WorldStrides and its mission, and highlighting the benefits and impact of our programs.
  4. Gather feedback from mentors, address any concerns or questions they may have, and ensure they are satisfied with our services.
  5. Encourage mentors to nominate students into our programs by showcasing their value and potential.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with mentors and prospects.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, with experience in sales, marketing, or customer service roles.
  3. Proficiency in using communication tools and software, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  4. High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies, with experience in business development and partnerships.
  2. Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions, or telemarketing, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building.
  3. Product knowledge and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  4. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, with experience in call center telephony and technology.
  5. Six months or more experience in a call center environment, with a strong understanding of administration and clerical processes.
  6. Advanced English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with mentors and prospects.
