About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our Legal and Contracts Department in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and overseeing commercial contracts related to our projects, ensuring that any issues arising in connection with the contracts are resolved as quickly and effectively as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Management: Support the Contracts function on activities in the PV and ESS Business Unit in Spain and other countries in the region as required.
  2. Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Review, draft, qualify, and negotiate various types of contractual documentation, including framework agreements, sales contracts, General Terms & Conditions, purchasing agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and letters of intent.
  3. Risk Management: Identify risks and deviations from our contracting principles and obtain senior management approval where necessary.
  4. Contract Qualification: Prepare and negotiate contractual qualifications with new and existing clients.
  5. Contract Summaries: Prepare contract and risk summaries to ensure that all relevant project personnel are aware of contractual obligations, risks, and objectives.
  6. Dispute Resolution: Negotiate to resolution contractual and financial disputes on live projects, consulting with and advising Commercial Managers.
  7. Compliance: Maintain and adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and procedures contained within our Business Management System.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree educated in Law or a relevant Business-related qualification.
  2. Experience: Experience in the PV, Energy Storage, Gas, and/or Construction industries.
  3. Commercial Acumen: Commercially focused with a sound knowledge of Contract Law and the ability to draft in a legal/contractual context.
  4. Team Player: Experience working within a Contracts or Legal department.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels and translate to a non-legal audience.
  6. Credibility and Professionalism: Demonstrates credibility and professionalism at all times.
  7. Negotiation Skills: Ability to engage, influence, and negotiate at all levels with stakeholders.
  8. Pro-Active Approach: Pro-active with a solutions-based approach, and the ability to constructively challenge and be challenged.
  9. Initiative and Ownership: Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership, and work within a multi-disciplined team.
  10. Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  11. Language Skills: Accustomed to report writing and presenting; English C1 is mandatory. Chinese language skills are an advantage.
  12. Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizing skills, accustomed to meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
