Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Leadership Development to join our team at Swissport. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and leading our leadership development strategy, building a strong leadership culture, and ensuring that we have the leadership talent needed to achieve our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive leadership pipeline and development strategy that aligns with our organization's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  2. Competency Framework: Define and refine our organizational and leadership competency framework and assimilate them into our Swissport culture.
  3. Talent Pipeline Management: Support succession planning efforts to identify and prepare high-potential employees to build a robust pipeline of ready leaders.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and lead the global portfolio of leadership assessments, advise on usage and best-in-class practices, and manage internal and external coaching pools.
  5. Learning and Development: Partner with our Learning Academy Team to design, deploy, and manage leadership development programs utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies to deliver engaging and effective leadership learning aimed at building capability and bench strength.
  6. Team Effectiveness: Build out our team and leadership effectiveness capabilities to enhance the performance, cohesion, and collaboration of teams.
  7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate and foster strong relationships with senior leaders, HR, and other key stakeholders to assess and understand development needs, ensure program alignment, and gain buy-in for leadership initiatives within their regions.
  8. Metrics and Analytics: Partner with leadership and HR to measure bench strength and determine the impact of leadership initiatives.
  9. Industry Trends and Best Practices: Maintain a strong connection to industry leaders in Leadership Development and continue development of personal and team subject matter expertise.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Extensive knowledge of best practices in developing leaders and experience applying these best practices within organizations.
  3. Proven results in the design and delivery of programs and processes that build leadership bench strength.
  4. Deep expertise in competency modeling and needs assessment and analysis.
  5. Proficiency in evaluation of leadership programs.
  6. Experience in consulting to senior leaders on leadership issues and capability gaps.
  7. Experience integrating competencies into organizational insights that build leadership bench strength.
  8. Ability to proactively manage large, multi-year projects to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance criteria are met.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  10. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  11. Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity and inclusion.
  12. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
