About the Sales Team

As part of the Midmarket Team (MM), we are a key growth segment for SAP, particularly in the Cloud sector. Our mission is to enhance SAP's market presence in the Midmarket space, focusing on establishing enduring customer relationships. The team is close-knit and supportive, operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires independence.

Collaboration with the Business Development Team is essential, as their interns engage in similar tasks, providing additional support and guidance.

Your Responsibilities:

Position: SAP iXp Intern – Mid-Market Sales Team
Location: Remote

In this internship, you will gain invaluable business insights and learn about the complete sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.

Your daily responsibilities will primarily involve assisting the team with demand generation initiatives, which include:

  • Identifying potential new customer accounts through various sources.
  • Profiling accounts to connect with key decision-makers.
  • Conducting market research to analyze trends and significant events that will aid in customer outreach.

Additionally, you will support the team in social selling efforts on platforms like LinkedIn, curating and sharing relevant content on behalf of team members. You will also assist with various tasks as needed.

The most rewarding aspect of this internship is the opportunity to understand the complete sales cycle, which encompasses:

  • Participating in exploratory calls with prospective customers.
  • Attending weekly pipeline review meetings to discuss critical deals.
  • Observing the comprehensive process of securing customer agreements.

Candidate Profile:

We seek proactive individuals who demonstrate initiative, resilience, and curiosity. You are passionate about engaging in meaningful projects and committed to continuous learning.

  • You should be nearing the completion of your degree, whether at the bachelor's or master's level.
  • Your university must be able to establish a tri-party agreement for internship purposes.
  • Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Business IT, Management, Sales, Marketing, Data/Process Management, or IT/Digital Transformation.
  • You should be available for a full-time, six-month internship.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are crucial.
  • You should be driven, collaborative, and possess a problem-solving mindset.
  • Active listening skills are necessary to understand tasks and achieve expected outcomes.
