About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Global Business team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building deployable statistical and machine learning models to support our global digital developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with data engineers to ensure data access and preparation for model usage.
- Collaborate with ML engineers on industrialization and model deployment.
- Coordinate work activities with business teams and other IT services.
- Guide the use of platform toolsets and focus on 'the art of the possible' demonstrations to the business.
- Communicate with team members on service design, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Support large-scale experimentation and build data-driven models.
- Set metrics to evaluate analytics solutions given a use case.
- Refine requirements into modeling problems.
- Influence product teams through data-based recommendations.
- Research in methodologies.
- Generate reusable packages or libraries.
- Create documentation for insights and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Experience in building solutions in the Financial Planning and Analysis space.
- Statistical and ML techniques to solve forecasting, supervised, and unsupervised problems.
- ETL and/or data wrangling techniques.
- Fluent in SQL syntax.
- Work experience in time series forecasting using ML is a plus.
- Developing business problem-related statistical/ML modeling with industry tools with primary focus on Python development.
- Deploying analytics into production using Azure or Databricks environments is a plus.
- Working in a team to deliver production-level solutions.
- Fluent in git (version control).
- Business storytelling and communicating data insights in a business consumable format.
- Agile methodology for teamwork and analytics 'product' creation.
