The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is a leading supercomputing center in Spain, housing MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe. Our mission is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. We combine HPC service provision and R&D under one roof, with over 1000 staff from 60 countries.

Context and Mission

The Education and Training Team, part of the Director's Department, coordinates training and education activities, conducts educational research, and develops collaboration opportunities with leading HPC and supercomputing centers, as well as world-class universities. We are seeking a Training Officer to coordinate, drive, and update the BSC AI Factory Training Program, ensuring it remains relevant to the rapidly evolving AI field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize Program Structure: Develop a comprehensive framework for courses, workshops, and other activities.
  • Facilitate Partnerships: Build relationships with AI-focused companies and research institutes.
  • Manage Enrollment and Tracking: Oversee student enrollment processes and ensure timely feedback.
  • Curriculum Refresh: Regularly review and update the curriculum based on the latest advancements in AI.
  • Introduce Emerging Technologies: Integrate new tools and platforms into the curriculum.
  • Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Implement workshops and certifications in AI methodologies.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Education, Instructional Design, Training and Development, or a related field is essential.
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Familiarity with the latest AI technologies and program management skills.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Curriculum Design: Skills in developing and updating training modules.
  • Educational Methodologies: Understanding of modern teaching techniques.
  • Additional Knowledge: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Competences: Ability to work in a team, learning agility, adaptability, analytical skills, and innovation.
Conditions

Full-time contract (37.5h/week) with a good working environment and flexible hours.
