Postdoctoral Researcher in RoHS Compliant Colloidal Quantum Dot Photodetectors

ICFO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the development of RoHS compliant colloidal quantum dot photodetectors and image sensors.
About the ProjectThe successful candidate will be working on the development of materials and devices based on Pb/Hg – free colloidal quantum dots with a focus on III-V CQDs. The aim of the project is to optimize the material properties as well as the device stack on a die level followed by integration of the optimum QD stack on a full image sensor in collaboration with industrial partners.
About the TeamCandidates will join a highly diverse group of people from across the world and across several disciplines (chemistry, physics, material science, and electrical engineering) with the aim to develop truly interdisciplinary high impact research typically published in high-impact journal publications.
Requirements- Ph.D.-equivalent degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Material Science
- Strong background in the physics of optoelectronic devices and proficiency in TCAD modeling of photodetectors
- Experience in charge transport studies, low noise techniques, and optoelectronic characterization of devices
- Direct demonstrated expertise of the aforementioned features in the field of colloidal quantum dot optoelectronics
