Job Title: Data Center Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at myGwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations and maintenance of our data centers, ensuring 100% availability of mechanical and electrical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Operations: Oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations, ensuring compliance with Amazon practices and procedures.
  • Team Management: Responsible for the onsite management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with Amazon practices and procedures.
  • Availability and Reliability: Has primary responsibility for engineering systems availability in both leased and colocated facilities.
  • Financial Analysis: Conducts financial analysis and contributes to financial decisions.
  • Project Management: Typically manages 5 or more direct reports, negotiates and rolls out contracts, defines and audits SLAs, and participates in recruiting efforts.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environments and drive accountability for results.
  • Business Acumen: Draws from a deep group or department-level understanding to make business decisions, uses business knowledge to set priorities and develop project plans, and ensures the highest standards from self and others.

Requirements:

  • Data Center Engineering Management Experience: Proven experience in data center engineering management, with a focus on operations and maintenance.
  • People Management Experience: Experience in managing teams, with a focus on leadership and development.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
