About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Fleet Remediation Team as a Project Design Electrical Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading design projects in operational data centers, remediating issues, upgrading existing infrastructure, and adding new services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions that add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and increase sustainability.
  • Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Be detail and data oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes.
  • Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders, including Operations, Commissioning, Construction, and Design.

A Day in the Life:

As a Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will interact with different teams responsible for various aspects of the data centers. You will mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers in your discipline and have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel.

About the Team:

The Fleet Remediation Team is a multidisciplinary engineering team that delivers engineering design support to operational AWS data centers. We ensure safety, availability, and resilience of data center infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities, including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years data center design experience.
