About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Zaragoza, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of projects related to the electrical performance of dry transformers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative ideas for the electrical design of dry-type transformers to meet the technical requirements of new markets.
  • Design and supervise the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.
  • Lead project execution to ensure performance, time, and cost are within expectations.
  • Document project progress and derive design rules from validated solutions.
  • Protect validated solutions by applying IP protection.
  • Support other R&D colleagues by analyzing and optimizing electrical designs.
  • Provide technical support to factories, sales teams, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product development and/or design of electrical equipment, preferably dry-type transformers.
  • Knowledge of magnetic, electric, and/or thermal design of electrical equipment.
  • Strong background in electrical FEM simulation (ANSYS Maxwell) is highly valued.
  • Initiative, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and fluency in Spanish and English.
