About the Role
Hitachi Energy Spain is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Zaragoza. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of dry transformers, working closely with our sales, project management, and mechanical design departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop dry transformers, ensuring they meet customer specifications and factory requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, sales, and project management to develop optimal technical solutions based on materials and loss optimization.
- Conduct design reviews with customers and provide technical support to our sales department during tender negotiations.
- Contribute to the development of our product portfolio, ensuring we remain a leading manufacturer of large power transformers.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documents in accordance with established formats and general instructions.
- Review and analyze engineering data, customer specifications, and documents to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Consult with other engineering groups to ensure specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application.
- Investigate technical issues and establish procedures for corrective actions.
- Choose technical accessories compatible with the design and customer requests, and prepare cost estimations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or engineering physics.
- At least 2 years of professional experience working with transformers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a curious mind.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as MS-Office.
- Capability in 3D modeling packages is a plus.
