About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Android Software Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge Android mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop new, secure, and reliable features for our Android mobile applications, utilizing modern Android development design patterns.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and improve existing systems, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product and UX teams to solve customer problems, propose engineering solutions, and trade-offs.
  • Technical Leadership: Engage with the Android development community across Amazon, share learnings, and grow as a technical leader.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in professional software development, with a focus on Android mobile applications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages, experience with Android development design patterns, and knowledge of software development life cycles.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
