Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Android software engineer to join our inter-disciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software (mobile, backend and frontend), and system engineers. As an Android software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge mobile applications that integrate with our IoT-enabled devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for our Android mobile application, ensuring high-quality and secure solutions.
- Collaborate with the product and UX team to solve customer problems by proposing engineering solutions and trade-offs.
- Work with the engineering team to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.
- Engage with the Android development community across Amazon to share learnings and grow.
Requirements
- Experience in professional software development, with a focus on Android mobile application development.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on reliability and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
