The Legal Department at Ebury plays a vital role in the operations of the Ebury Group. It delivers essential guidance on legal, regulatory, and governance issues that contribute to Ebury's daily growth.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic corporate attorney eager to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on enhancing Ebury's brand. The ideal candidate will offer high-quality legal counsel to key stakeholders both in the United Kingdom and internationally, playing a crucial role in Ebury's global development. This position will involve daily responsibilities in managing strategic corporate issues, alongside commercial and other matters impacting the Ebury business. The individual in this role will report directly to the Legal Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structuring and executing strategic initiatives, including fundraising, M&A transactions, and significant equity transfers within Ebury Group companies;
  • Advising on corporate structuring issues, collaborating closely with the Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, and Legal Director to efficiently maintain and develop Ebury's corporate structure, considering regulatory, tax, and other pertinent factors;
  • Assisting in managing communications with investors, addressing shareholder inquiries, and supporting the General Counsel and Company Secretary in upholding exemplary governance standards across the Ebury Group;
  • Reviewing commercial contracts and enhancing our client terms and conditions and templates;
  • Collaborating with front office, corporate development, product, and other departments to address daily inquiries;
  • Representing Ebury in interactions with clients, counterparties, banking partners, industry organizations, and other external parties;
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of new products and market expansion;
  • Preparing playbooks, procedures, and self-service materials, and participating in relevant training and awareness programs.

Key Skills Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (C1);
  • A proactive approach and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years of professional corporate M&A experience, either in private practice or in-house, as a qualified attorney;
  • A genuine passion for engaging with various legal areas, demonstrating a commitment to becoming a well-rounded generalist lawyer;
  • The capability to prioritize and manage a wide range of competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with support from team members and external advisors as needed.
