Railway Maintenance Manager

About the Role
Catenon is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Railway Maintenance Manager to lead our project in the Middle East. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our rail fleet and ensuring that our team is equipped to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans to ensure the successful completion of maintenance milestones and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, team leaders, technicians, and workshop staff to achieve project goals.
- Technical and Financial Planning: Oversee the technical monitoring of trains and financial planning to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Performance Management: Ensure that the team is resourced, motivated, and organized to deliver on established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Client Relations: Maintain excellent relationships with clients at the highest levels and ensure that all contractually established KPIs are met.
- Corrective Maintenance: Plan and monitor corrective maintenance programs and train modifications to ensure the fleet is maintained to the highest standards.
- Workshop Management: Lead corrective maintenance programs of workshop equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Certification: Ensure that the fleet maintenance regime is certified and compliant with all relevant legislation.
Requirements
- A qualified Engineer with at least 10 years' experience in the Rail sector.
- Fully proficient in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of any other languages such as Arabic would be a real plus.
- Previous management experience in relevant similar roles involving the maintenance and overhaul of safety-critical systems/equipment in a rail operational environment.
- Solid project management experience with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Up-to-date and proven engineering/technical knowledge of rolling stock systems and maintenance policies/practices.
- A deep knowledge of rail industry legislation.
- A proven leader with well-honed communication skills and a strong orientation to both results and client satisfaction.
