About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Research Director to lead our Software Networks research area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our research efforts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a research roadmap for the Software Networks area, aligning with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Lead and manage a team of researchers and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with other research areas and departments to identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, academia, and government agencies.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to support research initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software networks and related technologies, applying this knowledge to inform research directions and strategies.

Requirements
  • PhD in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science (or related discipline).
  • At least 10 years of post-PhD R&D experience in software networks and related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading research teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong scientific and technical publication record, with a focus on software networks and related areas.
