Cubico Sustainable Investments is seeking a highly skilled Solar Energy Analyst to join our growing Technical Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the internalization of capabilities related to energy yield analysis for in-house development activities and potential acquisition targets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site feasibility assessments, including resource and production analysis;
- Design and specify measurement campaigns;
- Define site constraints;
- Optimize site design, including technology selection and layout design;
- Perform pre-construction energy yield assessments for solar projects in line with industry best practices;
- Review and challenge third-party energy yield assessment reports for solar projects, identifying critical issues or further analysis requirements;
- Support the tendering process for third-party energy yield analyses, including scope definition;
- Contribute to the development of Cubico's energy analysis methodology, processes, and tools;
- Provide technical support to regional Development teams;
- Support the acquisition of pre-construction and operational solar projects and portfolios.
- Demonstrable experience in solar energy yield analysis;
- Track record in renewable energy project development, company, or technical advisory/consulting industry;
- Experience in managing client/external stakeholder relationships;
- Proficiency with industry software tools, such as Pvsyst, Meteonorm, PvDesign, PVcase, Rstudio, Python, etc.
- High level of proficiency with Excel, visual basic, and macro writing experience;
- Degree qualification in engineering, physics, maths, meteorology, or similar;
- Excellent communication skills - fluent English and Spanish.
