Sales Executive for Advanced Battery Software

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a dynamic professional to lead the commercialization of our proprietary battery software tool (PROTEO) within the Energy Materials Unit.

Our expertise spans the entire spectrum of battery technology, from chemistry to application. We specialize in designing and developing battery cells, modules, packs, and software solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique requirements, with a strong emphasis on transferring technology to industry. As a Software Business Development Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison for clients, proactively engaging them to understand their interests and assess their needs, ultimately proposing suitable solutions to enhance software sales.
Your Role
In your capacity as a Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with identifying sales prospects, profiling potential clients, uncovering their requirements, and driving new business through various outreach initiatives.
Collaborating with a team of modeling and experimental researchers, you will stay updated on the latest R&D advancements from the battery modeling team, introduce new software features to clients, and relay their feedback to the R&D departments. You will engage with clients through our corporate network, industry fairs, conferences, and your personal connections.
Your responsibilities will encompass the following:
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with management to create, define, and implement the sales strategy and policy for PROTEO, including activities, services, target markets, customer profiles, pricing strategies, and sales targets.
- Oversee the promotion and market presence of PROTEO.
Sales and Marketing:
- Identify and engage with both strategic and non-strategic customers.
- Negotiate and manage existing and potential contracts.
- Enhance the brand image and visibility of PROTEO.
- Foster external networking opportunities to strengthen PROTEO's strategic positioning.
Team and Organizational Development:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a management model that ensures service delivery aligns with established standards, promoting effective communication, engagement, and knowledge sharing.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to understand existing and potential competition, defining strategies to enhance market share and PROTEO's positioning.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape and competition, utilizing customer satisfaction surveys as necessary.
Business Growth:
- Identify and propose new market opportunities for PROTEO to facilitate additional service offerings and revenue streams.
- Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts to pinpoint high-potential clients.
- Educate clients about our offerings.
- Execute daily outreach through phone calls and emails.
- Understand client challenges, gather technical requirements, and align business needs with our software solutions.

Qualifications:
Degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Desired Expertise:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in software sales.
Familiarity with the following areas will be advantageous:
- Battery technology.
- Battery modeling.
Additional Information:

Experience abroad and over 10 years in a similar role will be considered a valuable asset.
