Battery Engineer for Advanced Battery Cell Prototype Development

About the Role

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a highly skilled Battery Engineer to join our Energy Materials Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced battery cell prototypes and contributing to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new battery cell prototypes, working closely with our research team to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct research and analysis to improve battery performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop battery cells, modules, and packs tailored to our customers' needs.
  • Manage project documentation, including writing project reports and monitoring progress.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize resource utilization and maximize results.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • High level of written and spoken English.
  • Strong knowledge of sensors and pressure control systems, mechanical setup development, programming (Python, MatLab, etc.), and data acquisition systems (Datalogger).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • At least 3 years of experience in battery engineering, research, or a related field.
