Renewal Operations Manager

As a key member of our team, you will engage directly with clients to manage the renewal of their MongoDB contracts, overseeing the entire renewal cycle starting 120 days before the contract expiration. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our renewal processes and playbooks within a newly established team, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving robust renewal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Renewal Oversight: Take charge of the comprehensive renewal process for designated customer accounts, with the goal of enhancing the Renewal Rate.
  • Proactive Customer Engagement: Initiate contact with customers well in advance of their renewal dates to facilitate timely renewals.
  • Quote and Contract Preparation: Generate accurate renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and solutions to maximize customer value from MongoDB.
  • Negotiation Skills: Collaborate with customers to resolve any concerns regarding renewals and negotiate favorable contract terms.
  • Data Utilization: Leverage data and reporting tools to monitor renewal performance, forecast upcoming renewals, and identify accounts at risk.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer success, and other internal teams to ensure a unified approach to renewals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a target-driven environment, focusing on renewal closures.
  • Degree in engineering or business.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Proven relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivated and competitive, with a strong desire for success.
  • Familiarity with database, cloud, and infrastructure technologies is advantageous.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
