The Role

The Junior Graphic Designer will play a critical role in creating visually compelling materials that support our public policy communication efforts. This position involves collaborating with policy experts, communications specialists, and other team members to design graphics that enhance our reports, presentations, social media content, e-learning materials, and other outreach materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating infographics that effectively communicate complex data and information
  • Preparing publication and document layouts that are visually appealing and easy to navigate
  • Developing Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates that reflect our brand identity
  • Crafting e-learning and other screen-based designs that engage and educate our audience
  • Establishing and maintaining our visual brand identity across all communication channels
  • Developing supporting visuals for social media and other digital platforms
  • Editing videos to ensure high-quality production values
  • Preparing print-ready materials such as leaflets, posters, banners, and promotional materials
  • Ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail in all design work
  • Collaborating with the Senior Designer to brainstorm creative ideas and solutions

Requirements

  • Education in graphic design or visual communication
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Canva
  • Video editing skills and knowledge of motion graphics
  • Understanding of UX and UI design principles
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with current industry trends and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team
