Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead marketing initiatives and commercial strategies for the Southern Cluster Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece). This role will also focus on the integration of new digital channels.

The position will function within the Southern Cluster framework, collaborating with various stakeholders including Medical/Clinical, Finance, Training & Education, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Digital Marketing, and the Renal EMEA team. This collaboration is essential to ensure that Baxter's regional team has a clear strategy and effective tools for engaging healthcare professionals and payers in a virtual environment. Regional Marketing will partner with countries to enable outstanding commercial execution that accelerates profitable sales.

Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for the Southern Cluster in Europe.
  • Develop and lead regional strategies and business priorities, ensuring alignment with country objectives (e.g., product launches, positioning, and messaging), and make timely adjustments as necessary.
  • Oversee launch readiness, effectiveness, and compliance, identifying root causes for any performance gaps and driving improvements.
  • Analyze business performance at the cluster and country levels, recommending enhancements or corrective actions to strategies and capabilities.
  • Lead cluster-wide initiatives (campaigns, congresses, peer-to-peer engagements, market development) and replicate successful strategies across markets to drive revenue growth.
  • Communicate cluster needs, customer insights, and market intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Kidney EMEA team and across multiple functions including Commercial Excellence, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Advocacy, Market Access, Medical, Supply Chain, and Training.
  • Collect cluster inputs for Target Product Profiles (TPP) and coordinate the financial business case process.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for product introductions and portfolio optimization in-country.
  • Support the growth of key revenue drivers in the Western Europe region, focusing on remote selling and product penetration.
  • Design and implement multi-channel campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle, ensuring cohesive messaging across all platforms.
  • Gather customer and market insights to refine outreach strategies, enhance customer conversions, and generate qualified leads.
  • Assist countries in developing the annual commercial plan aligned with the regional segmentation framework.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders to gain insights for innovative segmentation and positioning strategies.
  • Provide product, technical, and competitive knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of marketing teams and sales representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing strategies for assigned product lines.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Marketing/Commercial roles within the Medical Device/Pharma industry; familiarity with Surgery and/or Operating Theatre environments is advantageous.
  • University degree required; a Master's/PhD or MBA is preferred. Proven success in driving new product sales is essential.
  • Background in strategic planning and business development is beneficial.
  • Experience in Digital Marketing with a track record of performance is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with business acumen: Excellent strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills, along with critical thinking and project management abilities across cultures.
  • Proven ability to operate successfully in a matrixed, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in ambiguous situations. Knowledge in various disciplines including Market Research, Segmentation, Targeting and Messaging, Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Pricing, and Decision Analytics is valuable.
