Job Title: Asset Management Leader

At The Green Recruitment Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Leader to join our team in Madrid. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive the renewable energy revolution and contribute to a sustainable future.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and technical performance of renewable energy assets in Iberia, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and optimize the daily performance of assets, including KPI monitoring and asset optimization of solar assets.
  • Carry out regular site visits to ensure that assets meet quality and technical specifications.
  • Review maintenance plans and completion of works to ensure compliance and implement improvements.
  • Assist during the final stage of construction, permitting process, commissioning, warranty process, and operation phase.
  • Oversight contract management, ensuring that all services required by O&M or EPC contracts are actioned accordingly.
  • Support insurance claims, including coordinating the processing of claims and sourcing information and documents.
  • Responsible for negotiation and managing O&M contracts, PPA agreements, and relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Work with the finance team to manage processes around bonds, cash retentions, P&L, cash flow, OPEX, and other financial aspects.
  • Monthly review and reporting to lenders on revenues, costs, EBITDA, and other key performance indicators.
  • Preparing annual budgets for assets, assessing energy price forecasts, and contingency expenditures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant or transferable degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in an asset management role, with commercial management skills valued.
  • Good commercial skills in solar and/or wind projects of different sizes and stages of operational life.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise way.
  • Clear communication (written and verbal) in Spanish and English.
