About the Role

The Technical Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of rotating machinery within the Oil and Gas, Chemical, and Petrochemical sectors. This position requires a robust technical foundation in reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, pumps, gas and steam turbines, and other critical rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the market landscape and customer dynamics within their designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee sales and business development initiatives within assigned regions for Blackstone's Regional Business and Compression Service Technology (CST) product line, with an emphasis on expanding the product portfolio to include field services, parts sales, repairs, and engineered solutions.
  • Drive order generation for Blackstone and CST products and services, meeting specified order volume and margin objectives.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships within the territory to enhance market share.
  • Collaborate with global commercial teams to formulate proposals, quotations, and technical support solutions tailored to local customer needs.
  • Lead contract negotiations and conduct risk assessments as necessary.
  • Facilitate project execution and maintain customer interactions in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to future business development strategies and organizational growth within the country.
  • Serve as the primary contact for technical support and engineered solutions, coordinating with CST technical support and solution portfolio management.
  • Assist in data collection for equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, PFDs, and other engineering documentation.
  • Exhibit flexibility in scheduling to accommodate customer requirements.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training and development programs.
  • Provide updates and forecasts on order intake.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the maintenance of reciprocating compressors and turbomachinery.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Established relationships with regional customers.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
