Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Travel and Tourism industry, including trends, challenges, and best practices.
- Conduct research and analysis to support client projects, including data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
- Collaborate with consulting teams to understand client needs and develop research plans to meet those needs.
- Evaluate source quality and data accuracy, and proactively identify and raise research-related issues.
- Develop and maintain tools, resources, and training within the Travel, Transport, and Leisure topics, contributing to knowledge capture and documentation.
- 0-2 years of business research experience, with specialization in Travel and Tourism topics.
- Exposure to Tourism destination development and Travel Distribution topics would be an added plus point.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for Tourism or Hospitality Management.
- Master's in Tourism, Hospitality/Aviation Management is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and fluency in another European language.
- Sound understanding of the European Tourism sector and markets.
- Desirable knowledge in research databases like OAG, Phocuswright, Euromonitor, or STR.
The Data and Research Services team at Boston Consulting Group is a center of expertise that collaborates with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. We work with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities, and trade data.
