Key Responsibilities- Work with our largest and most demanding customers to drive successful end-to-end migrations of their self-managed MongoDB databases to Atlas.
- Enhance your technical troubleshooting expertise and experience by working on customer use cases, evaluating solutions, customer business pain points, application architectures, and Cloud infrastructure architecture.
- Collaborate with Professional Services CEs to perform comprehensive full-stack assessments and provide expert advice to PS and customers on the best ways to migrate MongoDB workloads to Atlas.
- Contribute to the development of migration methodologies, tooling, and the core database by providing product feedback.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure, and find solutions to challenges in real-time.
- Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting aptitude, with significant experience troubleshooting end-to-end technical issues in production environments.
- 5+ years of experience with administering RDBMSs such as Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, etc. MongoDB experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of Cloud or on-prem infrastructure administration experience.
- 3+ years or more of the following technical domains (ideally with some experience in the rest):
- Experience with Database Performance tuning and benchmarking.
- Experience with configuring and using common Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with networking concepts, including firewalls and load balancers.
- Experience with coding languages such as shell scripting, Python, Powershell, etc.
- Experience with database and workload migrations from on-prem to the Cloud.
- Experience managing large-scale databases (RDBMS or NoSQL or both).
