Spectarium's art team is seeking a skilled 3D Character Artist to join our team and contribute to the creation of mythological fantasy heroes and villains. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for bringing concept art to life through detailed 3D game-ready textured models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D assets for characters, creatures, weapons, and armor sets that align with the overall artistic vision of the game.
  • Collaborate with our art director and creative lead to develop and refine your work based on feedback and direction.
  • Maintain consistency in artistic style and adhere to established design and technical animation guidelines throughout the development process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and tools to continuously improve your skills and contribute fresh ideas.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with your team members and lead to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience working with development teams or one or more shipped titles from conception to completion.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on hand-painted textures.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g., Blender, Max, Substance Painter).
  • Experience working within Unity and implementing 3D work into the engine.
  • A great understanding of rigging, skinning, and animation principles.
  • Solid foundation in 3D and clean UV layout.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs accordingly.
  • A strong passion for fantasy games and the gaming world.
