Job Title: Research Project Manager

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a highly skilled Research Project Manager to join its Project Management Office (PMO). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating research projects within the Earth Sciences Department, from proposal preparation to project closure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and communicate funding opportunities for research groups, maintaining a call calendar for proposal planning.
  • Lead the definition and writing of project proposals, coordinating contributions from partners.
  • Negotiate and supervise contract drafting and signing, ensuring BSC's interests are protected.
  • Plan resource use, monitor progress, and maintain communication with principal investigators, preparing high-quality reports.
  • Collaborate to improve PMO operations, sharing best practices.
Requirements:
  • University degree
  • Related courses in project management and research proposal preparation a plus
  • At least three years of experience in European research project management
  • Experience coordinating research proposals and projects funded by the European Commission an advantage
Competencies:
  • Fluency in English essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Good skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications
Conditions:
