About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investment Banking and Finance Lawyer to join our team at Bbva. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in advising our investment banking and finance teams on complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on investment banking and finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and debt financing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our investment banking and finance teams, as well as with external clients and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and ensure that our teams are compliant with all applicable requirements.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure seamless delivery of legal services to our clients.
  • Contribute to the development of our legal department's strategy and goals, and help to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a lawyer in investment banking and finance, preferably in a leading financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including securities laws, corporate governance, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
