Paralegal - Property Litigation Specialist

Wedlake Bell is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our esteemed Property Litigation team. This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.
Our Property Litigation team provides expert advice on property-related disputes, working closely with a diverse range of clients, from investors and property developers to property occupiers. Matters can vary greatly, from tenant defaults and insolvencies to adverse possession. The team collaborates closely with our transactional property teams to resolve potential disputes as they arise.
As a Paralegal in the Property Litigation team, you will provide general support to Partners and fee-earners, including preparing court documentation, drafting legal documents and letters, and working with clients to ensure their queries are addressed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or future trainee solicitor to gain outstanding experience in a truly varied practice.

Key Responsibilities- Assisting in the preparation of documentation required for court proceedings and pre-action correspondence;
- Drafting a variety of documents and notices, including Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 notices, break notices, and statutory demands;
- Taking client instructions and considering their queries;
- Assisting with drafting emails of advice and routine correspondence relating to litigation tasks;
- Other administrative tasks, including diarising and monitoring key dates, printing, scanning, and bundling;
- Dealing with routine client and/or third-party queries and reporting to relevant fee-earners with updates where necessary;
- Undertaking legal research and providing support to Partners and fee-earners.
- A degree in Law (LLB) or a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), ideally with an interest in property or commercial litigation;
- Prior experience in a paralegal role, preferably within property litigation, is advantageous but not essential;
- Strong legal research capabilities and familiarity with legal research and case management tools;
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable in client-facing roles and maintaining professional interaction;
- High levels of professionalism and integrity, with attention to detail and accuracy.
