About the Role

We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Property Recoveries team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload of pre-litigated and litigated files, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage a caseload of fast and intermediate track cases between £10k and £100k, ensuring adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
  • Devising a clear case strategy, applying appropriate and current technical expertise and case law, and ensuring cases reach repudiation/settlement and the archiving procedure is completed as quickly as possible.
  • Engaging with clients to maximise opportunities to meet and build rapport, at all times acting as an ambassador of the firm.
  • Contribute to Business Development and client relationship activity in support of the Account Manager where required.
Requirements
  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or Cilex qualification and relevant legal experience.
  • Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload and meet conflicting demands.
  • High standard of written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
  • Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
