We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Casualty Injury Team as a Senior Paralegal - Complex Claims Expert. This role involves working with a partner and team manager to assist on complex high-value employer and public liability claims, predominantly over £250k.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, motor, casualty, disease, product, professional negligence, and health and safety. Our team is committed to providing high-quality advice and support to our clients, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the running of complex claims to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion.
- Effectively manage a modest caseload, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure work meets client needs, commercial requirements, and quality standards, including adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
- Achieve agreed financial targets and ensure prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
- Support a clear case strategy and manage risk and compliance issues.
- Engage with clients to maximize opportunities and build rapport.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship activities.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training and relevant publications.
- 0-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Multi Track or Fast Track Claims.
- EL/PL Experience.
- High level of personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
- Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
- Strong organizational skills, able to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Commercial perspective on legal issues with high standard written and oral communication skills.
- Confident negotiator.
- Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
