Subsea Cable Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in subsea cable initiatives (AC and HVDC) by providing expertise in cable engineering, design, technology, and manufacturing processes.
  • Formulate specifications for high-voltage cables intended for inner array or export cable systems.
  • Evaluate cable design and production documentation.
  • Organize and participate in supplier and factory assessments, along with cable type testing, while overseeing cable manufacturing.
  • Support back-office engineering for non-conformance reports and outstanding items from the cable production phase.
  • Oversee the coordination with cable installation teams.
  • Detect and communicate technical risks.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of inner array grid configurations and export cable connections for offshore wind energy projects.
  • Report to project managers and collaborate with team members from various departments.
Candidate Profile
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
  • Several years of pertinent experience in subsea cable engineering.
  • Proficient in developing or engaging with EPC tender, design, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Knowledgeable in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and/or AC power transmission.
  • Experience in offshore wind and/or interconnector projects.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to project locations.
  • Possession of a valid EU work permit.
