We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Cable Engineer to join our team at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting subsea cable projects with cable engineering, design, technology, and manufacturing expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review cable design and manufacturing documents
- Prepare and attend supplier and factory audits, as well as cable type tests
- Support the cable manufacturing supervision and backoffice engineering for NCR and punch items
- Manage the interface to the cable installation and identify technical risks
- Contribute to the optimization of inner array grid layouts and export cable connections for offshore wind farms
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical or industrial engineering
- Several years of relevant subsea cable engineering experience
- Familiarity with developing or working with EPC tender, design, and manufacturing documents
- Experience in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and/or AC power transmission
- Experience in offshore wind and/or interconnector projects
- Fluency in English
- Valid EU work permit
- Permanent contract and competitive salary
