Job Title: Principal Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly scalable and reliable systems, leveraging advanced cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement architectural strategies that align with business objectives and drive technical excellence.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for optimisation and efficiency enhancement within the platform infrastructure.
  • Act as a proactive problem solver, investigating and resolving complex system issues and performance bottlenecks.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in building and deploying large-scale distributed systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of architectural principles and scalability considerations.
  • Proven expertise in cloud architecture and application deployment patterns, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing highly available and resilient systems on platforms like GCP or AWS.
  • Strong programming skills and proficiency in multiple programming languages, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and guide junior engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
  • Track record of driving technical innovation and excellence, with a passion for staying at the forefront of industry trends and advancements.
