Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Platform Architect to join our team. As a Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting robust infrastructure solutions, implementing best practices in cloud computing and automation, and continuously optimizing performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Architectural Planning: Design and architect multi-cloud-based infrastructure and services that meet performance, availability, and security requirements.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning and Configuration: Automate deployment and configuration processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Optimize containerized workloads for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Design CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring and Observability: Configure dashboards and reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security controls and best practices to protect infrastructure, data, and applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Capacity Planning and Optimization: Monitor resource utilization and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities and prevent capacity constraints.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in cloud computing and platform engineering.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and scripting tasks.
  • Proficient with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure configurations.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Jenkins or Github.
  • Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls within cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases, including configuration, optimization, and replication strategies.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience in a similar role as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or cloud infrastructure engineer.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-based platforms and services.
