Senior Biotechnologist in Single-Cell Analysis

ISGlobal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our team and contribute to the implementation of cutting-edge single-cell omics technologies. As a key member of our scientific core facilities, you will provide expert support to our researchers in establishing optimized pipelines for single-cell techniques, including experimental and bioinformatic analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in single-cell technologies and provide advice to our researchers on the use of alternative platforms and scientific core facilities.
- Contribute to the design of experiments and plans, providing guidance on best practices and technical considerations.
- Liaise with commercial and technical personnel from companies that offer single-cell equipment, kits, and reagents to coordinate purchasing and ensure seamless integration with our research projects.
- Develop and implement robust, standardized experimental and bioinformatic pipelines for all single-cell techniques used by our teams.
- Establish quality controls, standards, and good practices to ensure quality and reproducibility in our research.
- Provide training and support to our researchers on the execution and analysis of single-cell experiments.
- Collaborate with our team leaders to prepare grant proposals that involve single-cell experiments and provide expert input on the technical feasibility and requirements of these projects.
- PhD in molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field.
- Advanced expertise in single-cell experiments, including experiment design, execution, sample preparation, and bioinformatic data analysis.
- Knowledge of different single-cell platforms and spatial transcriptomics is a plus.
- Previous experience in infectious diseases and/or immunology research is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in common single-cell analysis software packages and programming languages is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with researchers, team leaders, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
