Job Summary:
Celestica Inc. is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing indirect materials and services, including price/value determination, sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationship development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain local and/or regional responsibility for a specific indirect commodity or group of indirect commodities.
- Quote and negotiate all indirect materials and services under the assigned commodities.
- Identify opportunities for increased value proposition and analyze the market to recommend alternative suppliers.
- Negotiate services and purchase agreements terms and conditions.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on-time deliveries, and overall quality.
- Support internal customers to resolve quality, serviceability, and performance-related issues.
- Issue purchase orders and manage purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Generate reports related to the position.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar position.
- Typical Education: University graduate/Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization.
