Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Dopp in Seville. As a key member of our multidisciplinary group, you will be responsible for designing and developing power converters, analyzing specifications, and performing commissioning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power converters from concept to functional products
  • Analyze specifications for electronic equipment and perform commissioning tasks
  • Perform factory and field validation tests of prototype power conversion and control systems
  • Design and simulate power converter control systems on simulation platforms and implement on microcontroller systems
  • Specify and design power hardware according to product requirements
  • Proof of concept and validation of hardware and software components
  • Prepare technical project management reports and documentation
Requirements:
  • University degree in Engineering
  • Advanced English level
  • Experience in design of electrical systems and power electronics converters and their control
  • Knowledge in design of power electronic equipment regarding semiconductors, capacitors, inductive, protections, and air/water cooling systems
  • Advanced level in power converter simulations in platforms such as PSCAD, Digsilent, SPICE
  • Experience in evaluating topologies and power semiconductors for an application based on requirements
  • Knowledge of control theory for power electronics applications
  • Experience with SiC, GaN semiconductors and driver design
  • Previous experience in electronics and/or embedded SW product validation, use, and automation of laboratory test benches and HIL systems
