Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trade Finance Graduate to join our Trade Finance Operations team. As a Trade Finance Graduate, you will be responsible for approving new requests to finance the purchase of goods or provision of services, conducting due diligence checks, and providing excellent customer service to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Process new TF requests promptly and efficiently to facilitate trade process
- Carry out appropriate due diligence checks on transactions in line with company AML, TBML, Fraud, Risk, and Sanctions policies and escalate where required
- Conduct Screening on TF transactions and ensure alerts are reviewed and discounted appropriately, in line with company policies and procedures
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients, acting on their instructions in accordance with internal procedures and responding in a timely manner
- Complete tasks allocated by line manager with focus and in a timely manner
- Communicate the status of tasks to colleagues, supervisors, and managers, and escalate problems swiftly as needed
- Take ownership of client issues and remain accountable through to completion
- Act as stakeholder between departments to ensure smooth processing of client trade
- Ensure all transactions processed are in accordance with all internal policies, processes, and procedures
Requirements:
- Proactive, with the ability to work within strict time-frames and under pressure
- Diligent, with excellent attention to detail
- Numerate with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills
- Effective research skills with an ability to find solutions independently
- Fast learning with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload appropriately
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Co-operative, and comfortable working in a team environment
- Curious and eager to learn, and actively asks questions to confirm understanding of processes and procedures
- Motivated, with a desire to make Ebury a success
- Fluent in English and Spanish, fluency in another language is an advantage
