Job Summary

The Category Manager will play a key role in driving procurement excellence at Hydro Extrusions. This position is responsible for leading procurement projects, developing and implementing strategic procurement plans, and managing relationships with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives and drive cost savings
  • Lead procurement projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, including negotiation and contract management
  • Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, industry developments, and best practices in procurement

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement, with a proven track record in procurement best practices and contract management
  • Fluent in English, with other languages a benefit
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP or other ERPs is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

The Category Manager will work in a hybrid mode, with a combination of home office and on-site work at a Hydro Extrusions production plant. Business trips may be required up to 30% per year.
