Job Summary

Action Against Hunger is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programs Director to lead our consortium programs in the West Bank. The successful candidate will have a strong background in international relations, political science, or a related field, with excellent report and proposal writing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement multisectoral responses to humanitarian crises, with a focus on protection objectives.
  • Collaborate with humanitarian coordination systems, including HPC, Clusters/Sectors, and donors.
  • Manage large-scale humanitarian operations with complex programming, including public relations and liaison experience with UN, INGOs, donors, and diplomats.
  • Ensure compliance with donors' regulations and management procedures, including ECHO, AECID, DGD, and UN HRP cycle.
  • Develop and maintain strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capacity, with excellent reporting writing skills.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, with a focus on talent and motivation recognition, and continuous training in technical skills and competencies.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience in humanitarian context/protracted crisis, with a strong background in international relations, political science, or a related field.
  • Excellent skills in report and proposal writing, with experience in multisectoral responses and humanitarian coordination systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the humanitarian situation in West Bank (oPt), with experience in public relations and liaison with UN, INGOs, donors, and diplomats.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with Arabic as a plus.
  • Fully proficient in MS-Office, Outlook, and Skype, with ability to travel in West Bank and stay overnight.

Benefits

  • Formal work contract: 6 months maternity replacement.
  • Base: Jerusalem with regular trips to West Bank.
  • Compensation package estimated at €59,710 gross/year, consisting of salary and benefits package.
  • Benefits package estimated at 15,000 euros/year, paid directly by the organization, including insurance, travel allowance, per diem, annual leave return ticket, accommodation, and child allowance.
